The coordination and interaction between the Production Plants of the group are a further strong point of Innova: each company enriches the Group with its technological, experience and know-how background. PHILOSOPHY AND INNOVATION Sustainability Innova Group, which has always been attentive to the issue of sustainability, undertakes an annual verification, quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas emissions on the basis of the Corporate Carbon Footprint. The Carbon Footprint is a 'snapshot' of the organisation's direct and indirect emissions. It therefore makes it possible to identify the nature of emissions and the areas in which improvement actions can be implemented.
The goal for the coming years is to bring the Group to be Carbon Neutral.
To achieve this ambitious result, a well-defined and structured roadmap of investments towards decarbonisation has been planned. The next step towards the carbon neutrality of production processes alone is the one planned for the plant in Fontanella (BG),
which is already equipped with a photovoltaic system that, to date, manages to self-produce about 30-40% of its energy needs.

In the first months of 2023, voluntary offsetting with certified carbon credits for CO2 not yet avoided, related to direct and indirect emissions (scope 1 and scope 2), is planned for this plant.

After the Fontanella plant, the new Brescia plant in Borgo San Giacomo will follow the same path. In 2023, it will be equipped with a major photovoltaic plant, capable of self-producing green electricity for 90% of its needs, thus achieving the same result as the Fontanella plant in 2024.
